How I Got Here |
I grew up in Southern California and attended local schools. While first pursuing an accounting and advertising career, I discovered my passion for teaching and quickly enrolled in an English Ph.D program. During graduate school, I began teaching first at a college prep institution, then for Chaffey College and UC Riverside until I procured a job at Napa Valley College in 2002 and where I am today. Over my 27 year teaching career, I always tested or adopted the latest technology and social media tools to enhance instruction even when those first efforts were met with much professional skepticism.

Some Things |
I read voraciously and am always looking to learn new things or enhance my knowledge in areas outside of my own discipline. Napa Valley is incredibly beautiful and inspiring and I enjoy it with my family as much as I can. I love spending time with family, friends, colleagues and meeting new people. I feel very lucky to live in the Napa Valley where fine food, wine, entertainment and beauty can be had every day.
